Take the F3 from Sydney to Hexham Bridge. Follow directions for Taree across Hexham Bridge. From Hexham Bridge stay on Pacific Hwy for 11 kms, leaving on the left but going under the Hwy on to Richardson Road for Nelson Bay. Continue on the Nelson Bay road for 32 kms, and at this roundabout turn left into Port Stephens Drive following the road sign for Soldiers Point. Turn left at next roundabout into Soldiers Point Road. Continue on Soldiers Point Road for 3.5 kms (past a small shopping centre on your right and further on Soldiers Point Bowling Club on your left) to the second street past the club. Turn left into Ash Street, then immediately turn right into Fern Avenue. The Holiday House B & B is the third house on the right, No 6 Fern Avenue.
If arriving from the North, turn left for Nelson Bay, off the Pacific Hwy at Richardson Rd on the Raymond Terrace bypass. Then follow the above directions.
Port Stephens Coach Services operate a daily service between Sydney Central Railway Station and Soldiers Point stopping 100 metres from our door.
Regular flights to Newcastle Airport are operated by Virgin Blue, Jetstar, Qantas and Brindabella Air Services from around Australia. Transport can be arranged for the 20 minute drive from the Airport to The Holiday House B & B.

DetailsA bed & breakfast located in a peaceful garden setting 200 metres from the beautiful bayfront of Soldiers Point in the middle of Port Stephens. We offer one queen room with adjoining sittingroom(TV fridge & sofa bed suitable for one child or third adult) and adjoining private bathroom . A second queen/twin room can be booked in conjunction with the above room giving accommodation for a maximum of five people.
We can recommend local restaurants, club and a hotel within easy walking distance where you will enjoy some of the best food in Port Stephens. The Holiday House is only a ten minute drive to Nelson Bay and the main beaches of Port Stephens.
Make this your home for a day or two or more to explore Port Stephens and the wine region of the Hunter Valley.
Let us make some suggestions for activities during your stay: -Take a 11/2hr Dolphin Cruise to truly appreciate the beauty of the Bay and these friendly creatures. -Whale Watch Cruise in season June to October -Play golf amongst the kangaroos on the edge of the National Park at Nelson Bay Golf Club, or at either of the resort courses -Horizons or Pacific Dunes. Let us arrange your game. -Kayaking on the calm bay waters with Blue Water Sea Kayaking tours, maybe a champagne kayak at sunset. -Ocean fishing with Pacific Blue Charters on M.V."Dr Hook". -Lunch at Wonganella Winery Cafe overlooking the specatacular views of the Tilligerry Peninsula. -Learn about and see Koalas in their natural habitat at Tilligerry Habitat Gallery. -Take the ferry from Nelson Bay to TeaGardens and lunch at one of the many riverfront restaurants and cafes. -Climb Tomaree Peak and gasp at the spectacle from the top.

This room offers a Queensize or twin beds to suit your needs. There are electric blankets, a ceiling fan and heater to ensure your comfort. A delicious full cooked breakfast is served daily overlooking the garden.
In summer,relax in the cool of the shady garden and in winter, sit around the wood fire in our sittingroom. Tea/coffee facilities available but there are no cooking facilities for our guests.
This room can be booked along with the other bedroom and the small sittingroom and private bathroom .

This light, airy Queen Room has an electric blanket,a ceiling fan and heater to ensure your comfort. Next door is a small private sittingroom with a sofa bed,TV, fridge and tea & coffee facilities. A delicious full cooked breakfast is served overlooking the garden. There is a shared bathroom for your use.
This queen room accommodates 2 people only, but a child or third accommpaning adult could be accommodated on the sofa bed in the small sittingroom.
If you are a family, two couples or a small group of friends travelling together, then we have a second queen/twin room available to book in conjunction with the above. Maximum sleeping 5 people.
In winter, relax beside the wood fire. In summer, sit under the umbrella in the leafy courtyard garden.
There are no cooking facilities available for our guests.
